  • 2026 Montana State CMP 3-Position Air Rifle Championship Recap

    On Saturday, January 24, 2026, Ten Ring Junior Shooters was proud to host the 2026 Montana State CMP 3-Position Air Rifle Championship. The event brought together junior athletes from across Montana to compete in one of the most demanding and rewarding disciplines in youth shooting sports.

    Athletes competed in the full CMP 3-Position course of fire, testing precision, consistency, and mental focus across kneeling, prone, and standing positions. The level of competition reflected the growing strength of junior air rifle programs across the state, with strong performances in both Sporter and Precision divisions.

  • Howa Rifle Raffle

    We are raffling off a Howa .223 Heavy Barrel rifle with a Burris 4.5-14×42 scope to raise funds for our program.

    All proceeds will benefit youth shooting sports.

  • 2026 Klemp Klassic Recap

    On Saturday, January 3, 2026, Ten Ring Junior Shooters hosted the second annual Klemp Klassic at the Liberty Shooting Center in Missoula, Montana. The Klemp Klassic continues to grow as a fun, competitive winter invitational and an excellent way for athletes to kick off the new year.

    Named in honor of Marcus Klemp, following his USA Shooting National Championship titles in men’s air pistol, the Klemp Klassic expanded in its second year to include multiple air rifle disciplines in addition to air pistol. The match welcomed juniors and adults alike, with competitors shooting Sporter and Precision 3-Position Air Rifle, International Air Rifle, and Air Pistol.

    All events were fired on Orion paper targets under CMP rules in a relaxed, non-sanctioned environment designed to encourage participation, learning, and strong competition.

  • 2025/2026 Season Launch

    We’re excited to announce the start of the 2025/2026 Ten Ring Junior Shooters season! Our program for young athletes will run from October 1, 2025 through February 20, 2026, providing a supportive and competitive environment to grow skills in precision air rifle shooting.

    Season Kickoff & Mandatory Orientation – October 1, 2025

    Our season kicks off with a mandatory Orientation Meeting for all athletes and parents/guardians:

    • Date: Wednesday, October 1, 2025
    • Time: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. (please arrive a few minutes early to check in and set up)
    • Location: Liberty Center classroom at the Deer Creek Shooting Range (Western Montana Fish & Game Association)

    During the orientation, we’ll cover:

    • Meet the coaching team
    • Season overview (practice schedule, competitions, and events)
    • Athlete expectations and team standards
    • Equipment guidelines and requirements

    Please note: We will not be shooting during this meeting — it’s strictly orientation and preparation.

    Any athletes ages 10–18 who may be interested in joining the team are encouraged to come learn more about our program.

    2025/2026 Practice Schedule

    Practices are generally held every Wednesday and Friday evening at the Liberty Center classroom at the Deer Creek Shooting Range. Athletes should arrive by 6:00 p.m. to set up their equipment and be ready for the 6:30 p.m. classroom session, followed by shooting practice. Practices will conclude by 8:30 p.m..
